Ayelen and Juan Pablo live in Bolivia and were taking some time visiting the states and some family here in Sarasota. Ayelen contacted me a while ago to see about having a family session while they were in town. We arranged to have it at my house and it was really the perfect spot for what we all had in mind. Their daughter’s name is Luna and she is sincerely perfect. She is rounding the corner on being six months old and beautiful, and intelligent and adventurous. We had a fantastic shoot, the four of us. While we were warming up on the hammock and then shooting in the woods behind my house, Luna was a little bit fussy, Ayelen thought she might be hungry so we ventured into the guest room where we planned to shoot some family scenes on the day bed. As she began breastfeeding her, Juan Pablo also lay by her side on the rug. It was a moment that changed everything. I just started shooting frame after frame as this family was touched with the sweetest velvet window light. From these moments everything else fell into place. This was a very inspiring time. I am so grateful to know these people and to have been able to capture this wonderful time in their lives.
Here are a few of the best moments:
