Marisa and Walker are dear friends of mine, and I haven’t shot their family portraits since Liam was a babe. Totally off the cuff we came up with the idea of shooting at the county fair. Liam had never been, and Walker and Marisa had also never been to the fair together. It was such a pleasure to see Liam take in the details of the lights, heights and movements of the county fair. His favorite part by far was seeing the animals. He lit up like a christmas tree when we walked through the prized cows. We lucked out with crowds too, no lines and perfect light. There were a couple of attractions that Liam was a smidgen too small for yet, but he moved on with grace and dignity. On the ferris wheel, I think I freaked Liam out a little bit. He could smell my own fear and his face is priceless. In a weird way, it was really like it was just the four of us that night. It was a fantastic spot for shooting some beautiful family portraits.
