When Garrison asked me to shoot Sarah’s maternity session, I knew right away we needed to go glamour. I shot their wedding a while back and it was to this day, the most laid back wedding day I have ever experienced. I knew this was going to be a great body of work, and a I knew we would have a fantastic time.
Through some luck and some amazing friends, we found this waterfront home to have the photoshoot. It suited them superbly, and as we progressed through the day and through each room, Garrison and Sarah were natural and kind and in the moment with each other. Hayley and I read each other’s minds and were more fluid on this collaboration than ever before. Sarah sincerely always looked stunning. I rarely changed her natural demeanor, or asked for a different pose. She was so light and airy, for holding another human inside her body. We had a blast with the wardrobe changes and the drone scares with the high winds. They are having their baby boy, Jack Patrick as I write this. I finished editing these images and as I was resizing and saving, I saw a post that these soon-to-be parents were on their way to the hospital to deliver. I feel so fortunate to work with people like this. I adore these photos!
